Kiro’s journey started in 2023 at a hackathon at London Business School. Founder Alisha Chowdhury, alongside her classmates, won first place with the idea of Kiro—a vision to make financial education engaging and accessible for young adults.

Kiro took shape in London at a Hackathon where Alisha and her team wanted to tackle a pain point they all felt - why does it feel almost impossible to manage our finances as students?
DEC 2023:
Launched our first product, a gamified financial education app—think Duolingo for finance.
APRIL 2024:
Built Kiro version 1.0, a personalized financial and career coach chatbot, and went live with students in London and Philadelphia.
JULY 2024:
Secured funding from Founders Factory and Aviva Group, giving us the firepower to grow and scale our money coach.

FALL 2024:
Piloted Kiro 2.0 with our first customers, bringing our AI money coach for Gen Z to life and helping our first users get financial clarity.
